As busy parents & busy professionals, Josh & Ashley put their family first when considering their new home.  They made their family part of the process & getting their families' blessing solidified their decision to write an offer (or 3 offers) on a brand new home.  It also didn't hurt that one of their family members lives just a few blocks away.  Their persistence paid off & they got a house that met all of their needs.  They found a place where they can do anything from cuddling up for movie nights at home to exploring their new back yard that is perfect for their growing family. Staying in the same school district was also a must, so a short move turned into a short house hunt to find their forever home.

What prompted your move?

"Although we loved our previous mid-century modern ranch, we were looking for better layout that suited our needs as a growing family.  The most important thing was an open floor plan with a big kitchen. We love to cook as a family & entertain guests.  It just so happens that we always end up in the kitchen."

Did either of you have to compromise anything you wanted?  

"We always dreamed of home with big vaulted ceilings & wood beams & with this house being a two story that isn't in the cards.  We weren't searching for a two story but when this one came along it checked all the other boxes."

How many houses did you see before you found "the one"?

"Two! We know what we like & once we saw this house we knew it was the one!  However, we visited this home & another three different times with various family members to make sure we weren't missing anything."

What do you love most about your new neighborhood?

"The accessibility to get anywhere quickly.  Our new home is a bit closer to some major highways & Sunset Hills gives us the privacy & park-like backdrop we were looking for."
